ABOUT US

From crisis response to lasting change

Aid Gate Organization (AGO) is an independent Iraqi non-governmental organization established in 2014 in response to the humanitarian crises caused by the conflict with ISIL. Since its founding, AGO has grown into a leading actor in humanitarian and development interventions across Iraq and Northeast Syria.

We work closely with national and international donors, UN agencies, governmental institutions and civil society organizations to deliver integrated, sustainable services, focusing on durable solutions, livelihoods, social cohesion, protection, agriculture, climate action and good governance.

AGO is committed to addressing the root causes of vulnerability, strengthening community resilience and promoting long-term stability.

Our purpose

Mission

AGO aims to build resilient, empowered, green, equal and peaceful communities by supporting Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), returnees and vulnerable host populations. We provide sustainable solutions, strengthen social cohesion, promote equality and empower individuals and communities to thrive.

Vision

Inclusive societies where people have the opportunities, capacities and resources to overcome challenges; where decision-making is community-driven, environmentally responsible and grounded in peaceful conflict resolution; and where resources are used sustainably, with equality, resilience and shared prosperity for all.
